What is Emotion?
Conscious evaluative reaction to some event.
Mood
Feeling state not clearly linked to some event.
Affect
Automatic response that something is good or bad.
James-Lange theory of emotion
Physiological arousal precedes emotional experience.
Canon-Bard theory of emotion
Thalamus sends two simultaneous messages to produce emotional experience and physiological arousal.
Schachter-Singer theory of emotion
