Epithelial Tissue
Covers body surfaces, lines empty spaces, and makes glands. EX: Outer layer of skin and linings of the gut
Connective Tissue
Connects, supports, and protects other tissues and organs. EX: : Bone, cartilage, fat, and blood
Muscle Tissue
Contracts and creates movement. EX: Skeletal muscles, heart muscle, and walls of organs like the stomach
Nervous Tissue
Sends and receives electrical signals to coordinate body actions. EX: Brain, spinal cord, and nerves
