Complications: arthralgia, arthritis

Cause: human herpesvirus 6
Typical Age: 6-24 months
Transmission: respiratory secretions
Symptoms:
High fever 3-5 days
Rash appears once fever resolves

Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease
Cause: coxsackievirus/enterovirus
Transmission: fecal-oral & respiratory
Symptoms:
Fever
Mouth ulcers
Vesicles on hands/feet
Treatment: supportive
