Describe 1st stage
- mRNA attaches to the ribosome at the start codon.
- a tRNA with an anticodon that is complimentary to the first codon, lines up next to the strand mRNA strand.
Describe the 2nd stage
- tRNA carry a specific amino acids that is determined by the anticodon.
- While two tRNA molecules are in place a peptide bond forms between their amino- acids by a condensation reaction.
Describe the 3rd stage
- Ribosome continues down the mRNA strand until the stop codon has been reached.
- A polypeptide chain is formed.
