Nervous system
Controls and coordinates the body’s activities through electrical signals and neurotrnasmitter. It Includes the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.
Resiratory system
Facilitates the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide, supporting cellular respiration. It includes the lungs and airways.
Cardiovascular/Circulatory System
Transports blood, oxygen, nutrients, and waste products throuhout the body using the hear, blood vessels and blood.
Digestive System
Breaks down food into nutrients for absorption and eliminates waste. It includes the mouth, oesophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas.
Excretory System
e.g. Urinary system
Removes waste and extra substances through the kidneys, producing urine that stored in the bladder and released through the urethra. It maintains balance by regulating water, electrolytes, and eliminating harmful waste.
Skeletal System
Provides structural support, protects internal organs, and produces blood cells. It includes bonesm cartilage, and ligaments.
Integumentary System
Acts as a protective barrier agains the environment and regulates temperature. It includes the sking, hair and nails.
Immune System
Defends against pathogens and foreign substances, promoting immunity and protecting against infections.
Reproductive System
Responsible for sexual reproduction and the production of gametes (eggs and sperm) and includes the orgarns needed for fertilisation and embryonic development.
