Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI)

also known as hip impingement, is a condition that occurs when the bones of the hip joint don't fit together properly. This can cause the femoral head (ball of the hip) to pinch against the acetabulum (cup of the hip), which can lead to friction and abnormal wear and tear on the joint.

Two types: CAM and pincer

What muscles make up the pelvic floor?

levator ani muscles

coccygeus

3
New cards

What role do the sacrospinous and sacrotuberous ligaments play in pelvic motion?

They resist movement that would be intiated by the center of mass.
