Town in Massachusetts which in 1692 held many witch trials where people were accused of witchcraft and put on trial for usually no good explanation beyond fear

A society starting to base itself on logic and reason

The Principia

Book written by Issac newton that explains gravity and how things move

Edmond Halley

Scientist who used the Principia to explain comets which at the time were thought to be a bad omen from god

The glorious revolution

in 1688 in England after many bad kings and revolutions that failed to sustain their government after the revolutions then the revolutionary’s asked marry daughter of the previous king who married a rich nobleman in the Netherlands named William and the the new government asked them to be king and queen of England but with no political power and they accepted creating a constitutional monarchy

English bill of rights

Rights of the people that give freedom of speech freedom to bear arms in self defense habeas corpus freedom to petition the king elected representatives can levy taxes
