Ovary
The organ that releases the egg cells.
Fallopian tube
The tube that carries the egg to the uterus.
Testes

Urethra
The tube that carries sperm cells and urine out of the body.
Seminal vesicle
A gland that secretes fluid to provide the sperm with energy.
Scrotum
The part that contains and protects the testes.
Cervix
The opening to the uterus, commonly called “the neck of the womb”.
Penis
The part that fills with blood and becomes swollen and erect during sexual intercourse.
Epididymis
The part that stores the sperm cells.
Uterus
The part where the foetus will develop.
Puberty
The physical stage of development when a human body becomes capable of sexual reproduction.
Menstruation
The monthly process of the lining of the uterus breaking down and leaving the body.
Hormones
Chemical substances produced in the body that regulate processes like growth and reproduction.
Ova
The scientific term for female egg cells.
Sulphur dioxide
A gas released by burning fossil fuels that can lead to the formation of acid rain.
Boiling point
The specific temperature at which a liquid changes its state to a gas throughout the liquid.
pH 7
The specific number on the pH scale that indicates a substance is neutral.
Silicon
An element on the Periodic Table classified as a semi-metal.

Cl
The chemical symbol for the element Chlorine.
Na
The chemical symbol for the element Sodium.
Mg
The chemical symbol for the element Magnesium.

A metal element commonly used in packaging or construction.

A metal element widely used for electrical wiring and plumbing.
