What is subsidy taxation?
an extra taxation on top of the regular taxation that people have to pay. subsidies are the main reason rebels revolt against taxation

people objected to increased or innovative taxation demands, either because new demands indicated unwelcome increased control from central government, or because people simply could not afford to pay
