Rate of Change
Describes how an output quantity changes relative to the input quantity.
Average Rate of Change
Calculated as the Change in Output divided by the Change in Input.
Average Rate of Change Formula
Average Rate of Change = (f(b) - f(a)) / (b - a) where [a, b] is the interval.
Living Wage Jobs
Jobs that provide a wage sufficient to maintain a normal standard of living.
Function Evaluation
The process of finding the output of a function for a specific input.
Interval
A range of values over which a function is evaluated.
Graph Interpretation
Analyzing a graph to determine key values, such as function outputs.
Height Function
A model for the height of an object over time, often used in physics problems.
Output Units per Input
The units used to express a rate of change, indicating how much output changes for a unit change in input.
Average Rate of Change in Living Wage Jobs
The calculated change in the number of living wage jobs over a specified time period.
Function f(x)=√x
A mathematical function that describes the square root of x.
Job Output Over Time
The measurement of employment levels across different years.
