deciduous
Adjective describing a tree or shrub that sheds its leaves annually (contrasted with evergreen); informally describes broad-leaved plants; or denotes the milk teeth of a mammal that are shed.
plagiarize
A verb meaning to take the work or an idea of someone or something else and pass it off as one's own, or to copy from someone in such a way.
yeoman
Historically, a man holding and cultivating a small landed estate (a freeholder); or a person qualified for duties such as serving on juries by possessing free land of an annual value of 40 shillings.
gauche
An adjective describing someone who lacks ease or grace, being unsophisticated and socially awkward.
acumen
A noun referring to the ability to make good judgments and quick decisions, typically in a particular domain such as business.
infrastructure
A noun meaning the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g., buildings, roads, and power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise.
omnipotent
An adjective describing a deity having unlimited power and ability to do anything; or a person/sovereign having ultimate power and influence.
quotidian
An adjective meaning occurring every day or daily; ordinary and mundane; or in medicine, denoting the malignant form of malaria.
unctuous
An adjective describing a person who is excessively or ingratiatingly flattering; oily.
homogeneous
An adjective meaning of the same kind or alike; or consisting of parts that are all of the same kind.
