-guests see Montgomery Clift in the room he stayed at while filming From Here to Eternity (Room 928)

-he taps guests on shoulder, sticks around after guests leave to watch maids clean

-most active spirit is Marilyn Monroe

-stayed here for 2 years earlier in her career, said it was some of best years of her life

-suite 1200, guests often request it hoping to see her

-but if you can’t get the room, don’t worry

-look in the mirror she had in that room

-owners moved the full length mirror next to a lower level elevator

-guests and employees have seen her in that mirror

-ghost of young girl, 5 years old, named Caroline

-wears blue dress & roams halls looking for her mom

-in 80s, night shift guard Sam doing rounds on 9th floor

-heard something on way back to elevator

-came closer and could tell it was a girl crying

-she yelled “Mommy! Mommy, where are you?”

-he hurried over to the elevators, but no one was there

-then it sounded like it was coming from behind him

-whipped around and peered down hall

-little girl in blue dress sitting in middle of hall facing away from him

-Sam had heard stories, but they didn’t come to mind in that moment

-he’s a father, and instincts kicked in: wanted to help the girl

-called out, she didn’t answer, just kept sobbing and calling for Mommy

-when he was a few feet away, he crouched down and tried to get her to turn around

-She suddenly stopped crying, back still turned

-Sam said “It’s okay, sweetie, I’m here to help”

-Barely audible, she whispered: “You’re not Mommy.”

-little girl turned and Sam stumbled back

-tears streaming down her face where thick black and stained her cheeks

-she looked angry, started to stomp toward Sam

-began to dematerialize until she disappeared completely

-Sam nearly had heart attack, even called an ambulance

-never worked night shift again, quit shortly after
