Digital Art
A form of art that uses computer technology in its creation.
Concha García Zaera
A Spanish digital artist (12 June 1930 – 20 July 2023) famous for her Instagram account and digital pieces created in Microsoft Paint.
La abuela del paint
The nickname given to Concha García Zaera, meaning "The grandmother of paint."
Photo composite
A type of digital art consisting of layered photos, such as the 2024 Olympics imagery used by Omega.
Yusuf Lateef
A local artist known for digital collages and the NFT piece titled "Eurydice."
NFT
A type of digital asset/art; the transcript references "Eurydice" by Yusuf Lateef as an example.
Jenny Holzer
An artist known for using projections as a form of digital art, specifically the piece "Hurt Earth."
AARON
A digital art piece created by Harold Cohen in 1972.
Electronic Superhighway
A digital art installation created by Nam June Paik in 1995.
Graphic Design
Art that stems from the need or desire to communicate a pre-existing message, such as a logo or call to action, and is intended to be immediately and clearly understood.
Fine Art
Art created primarily for its aesthetic value, beauty, emotional impact, and technical skill, which can have multiple meanings and interpretations.
Taste
A way of judging art based on personal preference, such as whether a person enjoys a specific genre like fantasy.
Opinion
A way of judging art based on perspective, logic, and principles, such as recognizing high-quality cinematography or acting regardless of personal preference.
Saul Bass
A designer cited as an example for creating logos, such as the Quaker logo, that should be immediately and clearly understood.
