Code of Conduct
A set of guidelines outlining expected behavior and principles for participants during the Copernicus Model United Nations 2025.
Delegates
Participants who represent selected states in respective committees, responsible for writing a resolution on discussed topics.
Observers
Members who do not have official recognition from the United Nations and represent non-governmental organizations or states without membership status.
Resolution
The final document produced by a committee that contains solutions to the issues being addressed.
Veto Power
The authority of permanent members of the Security Council to reject decisions, effectively preventing a resolution from passing.
Moderated Caucus
A more informal type of debate that focuses on specific subtopics within the committee, allowing for facilitated discussion.
Unmoderated Caucus
The least formal type of debate allowing participants to discuss matters freely without a structured speaking order.
Point of Order
A point raised to indicate an improper use of the Rules of Procedure by the Chairpersons or Delegates.
Draft Resolution
A proposal generated from a Working Paper that must be approved by the committee before it becomes a formal Resolution.
Amendment
A proposal to modify a Draft Resolution, which may be introduced to add, strike out, or change clauses.
