Vital hormone made by pancreas that moves sugar (glucose) OUT of the bloodstream INTO the cells to be used for energy.
Role: Decrease blood sugar levels when they are too high.

Endocrine system - Produces hormones to regulate the amount of sugar/glucose in your bloodstream.
Major pancreatic hormones - Insulin & Glucagon
Located behind the stomach and in front of the spine, surrounded by gallbladder, liver and spleen.
Glucagon - Hormone
Vital hormone produced by the pancreas that allows the body to turn stored sugar back into glucose.
Role: Increase blood sugar levels when they are too low.
