What is so important about weak interactions?
They define all of biology and it’s processes e.g. glucagon binding to increase blood sugar levels
Why do biological interactions need to be weak?
Because the processes have to be transient to respond to signals only when required (not always)
How do you recognize if a shown bond is weak or strong?
If the bond is going through space (e.g. non-covalent) then it will be weak (no direct linkage between atoms).
What are electrostatic forces?
These are just the forces between charges e.g. like charges repel and opposites attract
