Who are the most vulnerable road users?

• Pedestrians

  • Move slow/No protection in a crash/ When pavements are closed and they have to use the road/country roads they walk on the right of the road/organised walks (left)/pedestrians walking where you’re trying to cross (if they start they have priority)/ traffic wardens/ school children

• Cyclists

  • Slower

  • Stop before their advanced parking (behind thick white line)/not as easy to see

• Horse riders

  • Unpredictable/ stay back and don’t startle

• Motorcyclists

  • Fast moving and hard to see/ may swerve unexpectedly (leave space when overtaking)
