Dimensional analysis
A problem‑solving method that uses units to check consistency and to guide conversion between quantities.
Conversion
The process of changing a quantity from one unit to another without changing its value.
Conversion factor
A fraction whose numerator and denominator express the same quantity in different units, used to convert units.
Inch (in)
A unit of length; 1 in equals 2.58 cm according to the notes.
Centimeter (cm)
A metric unit of length; 1 cm = 0.01 m; used in many unit conversions.
Meter (m)
