what is the working cast?

also known as the master cast, it is a positive replica of the prepared teeth, ridge areas and other parts of the dental arch

the positive replica of the prepared tooth and consists of suitable hard substance of sufficient accuracy (usually an improved stone, resin or metal)

  1. must be bubble free, especially along the finish lines of the prepared teeth
