verifies the power adapter is supplying proper voltage to a computer

a connector on a power supply, volts are +3.3v,+5v, and +12v. 15 pin
molex
power to older drives, 4 pin, volts are +5v and + 12v
24 pin
main power connector, volts are +3.3, +5,±12
video cards
draw the most power, use +12v
