NOUN (Kata Benda)
A word that refers to a place, person, idea, thing, quality, or activity.
Noun Functions
In a sentence, a noun can act as a subject, indirect object, direct object, subject complement, object complement, appositive, or adjective.
VERBS (Kata Kerja)
Words used to represent actions, feelings, or states of being.
Dynamic/action verb
A type of verb representing physical actions such as walking, running, or singing.
Stative/feeling verbs
A type of verb representing internal states or emotions such as love, live, or hate.
AUXILIARY VERBS
Helping verbs used to explain the main verb, indicating when an action happens or forming questions and negatives.
Modal Auxiliary Verbs
A group of auxiliary verbs that include "Could/Can", "Should/Shall", "Might", "Must", and "Would/Will".
PRONOUN (Kata Ganti)
A word used to replace a noun, including personal, demonstrative, indefinite, and interrogative types.
Demonstrative Pronouns
Pronouns used to point to specific objects, such as "This", "That", "These", and "Those".
Indefinite Pronouns
Pronouns used when a specific identity is not required, such as "One", "Other", "Everybody", "Anybody", and "Nobody".
Interrogative Pronouns
Pronouns used to ask questions, such as "Who", "What", "Which", and "Whose".
Definite Article
The word "The", used when referring to a specific item that the speaker and listener already understand.
Indefinite Articles
The words "A" and "An", used to refer to non-specific or random items.
Indefinite Article Rule: 'A'
Used when the first letter of a noun sounds like a consonant, for example, "a university" (pronounced /yu-ni-ver-si-ti/).
Indefinite Article Rule: 'An'
Used when the first letter of a noun sounds like a vokal, for example, "an hour" (the 'h' is silent and sounds like 'o').
PREPOSITION (Kata Depan)
A word that shows when or where something is in relation to something else, including position, direction, and time.
ADJECTIVE (Kata Sifat)
A word whose task is to explain, limit, or clarify a noun.
OSASCOMP
An acronym for the standard Adjective Order: Opinion, Size, Physical quality, Shape, Age, Color, Origin, Material, Type, and Purpose.
ADVERB (Kata Keterangan)
A word that functions to explain a verb, adjective, or entire sentences.
CONJUNCTION (Kata Hubung)
A connecting word or hub used to join parts of a sentence, such as "And", "Because", "But", "If", "Or", and "That".
Correlative Conjunctions
Pairs of connecting words that function together, such as "Either/Or" and "Neither/Nor".
Subordinating Conjunctions
Connecting words used to link two unequal clauses to show cause and effect, time, conditions, or comparisons (e.g., "Because", "Since", "Although").
