Mand. Centrals - Overview

  • Pulp outline wider LL.

  • Root curve D or DL.

  • Remove lingual shoulder if present.

  • Outline access form: OVal/rounded triangle (dep. on pulp horns).

  • Entry point: ling surface above cingulum.

  • CEJ pulp outline oval, wider LL than MD. Midroot canal outline still oval, canal constricted & narrower labiolinguallt.

  • Dentinal bridhe present in pulp chamber → divides root into 2 canals.

  • 2 canals join & exit through single apical foramen but can also just be 2 sep. canals.

  • Outline form: Oval/trianguar 

—> Triangular: Short incisal base, long M&D legs → compressed long triangle. 

—> Oval form: Less prominent pulp horns. Narrow MD & long incisogingivaly. 

  • Lingual shoulder completely removed to expose canal/canals. 

  • 2 canals = B&L

  • Lingual canal missed. 

  • Access extended into cingulum gingivally.
