لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ (Laqad haqqa al-qawlu)

The punishment has been confirmed and made obligatory (لقد ثبت العقاب ووجب).

أَغْلَالًا (Aghlalan)

Shackles binding their hands to their necks (قيودًا تُشَدُّ أيديهم إلى أعناقهم).

فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ (Fa-hum muqmahun)

Their heads are raised with eyes lowered, expressing restraint caused by shackles (رافعو الرأس مع غض البصر، وهو تعبير عن وقوف الأغلال).

سَدًّا (Saddan)

A barrier or blocking obstacle (حاجزًا مانعًا).

فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ (Fa-aghshaynahum)

We placed a cover over their eyes, where cover refers to a veil/ghishawah (جعلنا على أبصارهم غطاءً، والغشاوة هي الغطاء).

وَآثَارَهُمْ (Wa-athaarahum)

Their deeds and actions in the worldly life (أعمالهم في الدنيا).

أَحْصَيْنَاهُ (Ahsaynahu)

We gathered, recorded, and preserved it (جمعناه وحفظناه).
