ESSENTIAL LEARNING

Almost everything at your grasp is a source of information. When the information is unrefined and unprocessed, it is called raw data. The data will only make sense when it is interpreted and utilized based on your needs. Validity, reliability, credibility and relevance are the primary considerations for evaluating information. But not all sources offer the same quality of information. These may be indigenous or community knowledge, physical material, libraries, or media resources. As you strive to become more media and information literate, the higher the expectation to be judicious and more selective and critical of your information sources because quality is everything with the vast information you can access.
