Initiation Stage
The first stage of the project life cycle focused on understanding the goals, priorities, deadlines, and risks of the project.
Planning Stage
The second stage of the project life cycle characterized by outlining the tasks and timeline required to execute on the project.
Implementation/Execution Stage
The third stage of the project life cycle where the plan is turned into action and project performance is monitored.
Closure Stage
The final stage of the project life cycle involving the analysis of results, summarization of key learnings, and planning of next steps.
4 Staged Access Model
A model for Community Entry & Organisation comprising: getting into the community, getting on with the work, getting out of the community, and getting back to the community for dissemination.
Community Entry and Organisation Course Goal
To introduce students to approaches of working with communities and help them develop relevant skills, emphasizing involvement of all people and identifiable stakeholders in every stage.
Community Mobilization
Approaches used to achieve communication objectives and intended outcomes within a community structure.
Models of Community Organizing
A set of frameworks including mass mobilization, social action, grass roots empowerments, leadership developments, and advocacy.
Primary Focus of Community Entry
Understanding the community and being of optimum use to them, rather than simply the mechanics of entering or completing a service.
Dissemination
The final phase of the 4 staged access model where one goes back to the community to share findings or results.
