Life Skills
Abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable humans to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of life, including communication, problem solving, and time management.
Evaluation
The process of drawing on your own knowledge and judgement to determine the significance of something.
Prioritising
To arrange or deal with something in order of importance.
Coping
A general plan or set of plans intended to achieve something.
Resilience
The process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tradegy, threats or significant sources of stress; it involves "bouncing back" and personal growth.
Competence
The ability to handle various situations.
Confidence
A solid belief in one's own abilities.
Connections
Having close ties with family, friends, school, and other entities.
Well-being
A state of being happy, healthy or successful.
Coping strategies
Plans put in place to minimize stressful situations, tolerate negative surroundings, and help a person feel better physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Perseverance
The determination to keep trying to do something difficult.
Persistence
The determination to continue to do something.
Life goals
Important goals you strive toward, related to relationships, career choices, family, marriage, and parenting.
Values
The principals you think are important in life that shape your mission statement and influence decisions and goal setting.

Democracy, Social Justice and Equity, Equality, Non-racism, Non-sexism, Ubuntu, Open Society, Accountability, Rule of Law, and Respect and Reconciliation.
Goal
Something you try to achieve.
Goal setting
A process of thinking about your future and motivating yourself to turn your vision into a reality through the development of an action plan.
Short-term goals
Goals that can be achieved in a short time, such as a week or month, usually intended to be achieved in less than a year.
Medium-term goals
Goals that are achieved in 1 to 3 years.
Long-term goals
Also known as life goals, these are goals with the aim of being achieved in 3 years or more.
SMART Goals
A method to set well-planned goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely.
Specific (SMART)
The goal is exact and you have decided exactly what you want to achieve.
Measurable (SMART)
You can monitor progress or see when the goal has been achieved.
Achievable (SMART)
It is possible for you to reach the goal.
Realistic (SMART)
The goals are practical and within your reach.
Timely (SMART)
The goal can be achieved in a sensible or set amount of time.
Problem solving skills
The ability to face obstacles and problems using a systematic method, such as gathering information, listing solutions, and choosing the best one based on their effects.
