Cell (Etymology)
Derived from a Greek word meaning "hollow space".
Protoplasm
The living contents of a cell, consisting of both the nucleus and the cytoplasm.
Cell
The structural, functional, and fundamental unit of life.
Prokaryotic cell
A type of cell found in Bacteria, Cyanobacteria, and Archeobacteria.
Eukaryotic cell
A type of cell found in Animal, Plant, Fungal, and Algal organisms.
Basic components of a cell
The three essential parts of a cell: nucleus, cell membrane, and cytoplasm.
Cell membrane
The universal structure and most prominent feature of a cell, present in every cell.
Bacterial Nucleus
A structure that is not well-defined in prokaryotic organisms like bacteria.
Cell wall
The protective layer of the cell.
Cytoplasm
The soluble sap or living content of the cell consisting of different variations.
Cytosol
The soluble part of the cytoplasm.
True Solution
A homogeneous part of the cytoplasm containing small molecules and ions.
Colloidal Solution
A part of the cytoplasm containing large molecules, which can be further classified as Sol or Gel.
Sol
The non-viscous part of a colloidal solution.
Gel
The viscous part of a colloidal solution.
Inclosure body check
A ribosome is considered a structure that is not an inclusion body, unlike elements like Mg or molecules like H2O.
