Tolerance
Acquired hyporeactivity from chronic exposure. Chronic opioid use.
Cross-tolerance
Tolerance to one drug transfer to another with similar mechanism. Opioids or benzos
Tachyphylaxis
Acute tolerance after a few doses. Neosynephrine increase law.
Densensitization
Short term lower receptor responsiveness after repeated stimulation.
