Equation

A mathematical solution statement that two expressions are equal

Inequality

A mathematical statement comparing two expressions using <, >

Coordinate Plane

A plane defined by x-axis or y-axis used to graph points

Solution (Ordered Pair)

A pair (x,y) that makes an equation or inequality true

Linear Function

A function with a constant rate of change (straight line)

Quadratic Function

A function with degree 2, forming a parabola

Cubic Function

A function with degree 3, forming an S-shaped curve

Square root function

A function with a variable inside a square root

Cube root function

A function with a variable inside a cube root

Exponential function

A function where the variable is in the exponent

Absolute Value function

A function involved |x| that forms a V-shape
