Brown v. Board of Education
(1954) - Supreme Court case that led to Court ruling that de jure school segregation was unconstitutional
1964 Civil Rights Act
A law that desegregated government facilities, banned racial discrimination in public accommodations, and banned racial discrimination in employment (among other things)
1965 Immigration and Nationality Act
A law that ended the national-origins quota system and created new system that favors immigration by relatives and by professionals
1965 Voting Rights Act
A law that prohibited discriminatory voting rules (including literacy tests), outlawed racial gerrymandering, and established 'preclearance process' for places with history of discrimination

(1967) - Supreme Court case that led to Court ruling that bans on interracial marriage were unconstitutional
