Parachute
An object that allows a person or thing to slowly come to the ground after dropping from a flying aircraft.
Hijack
To forcefully take control of a vehicle, like an airplane, often to take hostages or change its course.
Bomb
An object that is designed to explode and cause destruction.
Flight Attendant
A person who works on a plane to bring passengers meals and take care of them.
Claims
To say that something is the case without providing proof for it.
Cockpit
The place where the pilot of an aircraft sits.
Indicate
To show, point out, or suggest the existence, presence, or nature of something.
Whisper
To speak very softly or quietly, usually to avoid being overheard by others who are nearby.
Ransom
An amount of money demanded or paid for the release of a person who is in captivity.
Board
The act of entering an aircraft, ship, train, and other vehicles.
Interviewed
A meeting in which the police ask someone questions to see if they have committed a crime.
Sentenced
To officially state the punishment of someone found guilty in a court of law.
Polite
Showing good manners and respectful behavior towards others.
Trial
A legal process where a judge and jury examine evidence in court to decide if the accused is guilty.
Having an Affair
A sexual relationship between two people in which at least one of them is already committed to someone else.
Motive
A reason or purpose behind someone's actions or behavior.
Poisoned
To give a substance containing toxins or harmful elements to a person or animal with the intention of causing illness, harm, or death.
Confessed
To admit, especially to the police or legal authorities, that one has committed a crime or has done something wrong.
Suspect
To think that something is probably true, especially something bad, without having proof.
Guilty
Responsible for an illegal act or wrongdoing.
Gang
A group of criminals who work together.
Settled
Fixed in a desired state or location, often implying a sense of permanence or stability.
Security
An electronic system (like an alarm or camera) that detects and warns about break-ins or unauthorized entry.
Harsh
Cruel and unkind toward others.
Guard
A person whose job is to protect and look after a person or place.
On the Run
Moving from one place to another in an attempt to not get caught or arrested.
Souvenirs
Something that we usually buy and bring back for other people from a place that we have visited on vacation.
Van
A big vehicle without back windows, smaller than a truck, used for carrying people or things.
Celebrity
Someone who is known by a lot of people, especially in entertainment business.
Maximum
The highest amount, degree, or extent there is or is possible, allowed or needed.
Privilege
A special right, immunity or advantage that only a particular person or group has.
Symbol
A sign or shape that represents a particular idea or organization.
Protest
The act of publicly expressing strong disagreement or disapproval.
Release
To let someone leave a place in which they have been confined or stuck.
Discriminate Against
To unfairly treat a person or group of people based on their sex, race, or similar things.
Struggle
A confrontation or clash between opposing groups or individuals.
Justice
A behavior or treatment that is fair and just.
Race
Each of the main groups into which humans can be divided based on their physical attributes such as the color of their skin.
Freedom
The right to act, say, or think as one desires without being stopped, controlled, or restricted.
Vote
To show which candidate one wants to win in an election or which plan one supports, by marking a piece of paper, raising one's hand, and so on.
Software
The programs that a computer uses to perform specific tasks.
Competition
The act of trying to achieve a goal by doing better than others who are also aiming for the same goal.
Realize
To have a sudden or complete understanding of a fact or situation.
Marketing
The act or process of selling or advertising a product or service, usually including market research.
Develop
To change and become stronger or more advanced.
Fortune
A very large sum of money.
Communicate
To exchange information, news, ideas, etc. with someone.
Critic
A person who expresses a negative or unfavorable opinion about something.
Billion
The number 1 followed by 9 zeros.
Drop Out
To stop going to school, university, or college before finishing one's studies.
