Inquiry
A purposeful process where students ask meaningful questions, explore ideas through guided experiences, make connections, and apply learning in new ways.
Teacher's Role in Inquiry
Teachers design learning experiences, ask strategic questions, decide when to guide or step back, and create conditions for curiosity and accountability.
Voice vs Choice
Voice refers to students sharing ideas, questions, and thinking; Choice involves students making decisions about their learning paths or products.
What does inquiry include?
Modeling, mini-lessons, practice, feedback, and reflection.
What inquiry is NOT
Inquiry is not students teaching themselves, having no structure or expectations, just Googling answers, or skipping explicit instruction.
