Linguistic Context
The language used in a literary text that helps readers understand the meaning and the values the author wants to express, focusing on how words are used together.
Deictic Expressions
Words whose meanings depend on the speaker, the place, or the time, and cannot be fully understood without knowing who is speaking, where, and when.
Co-text
The words, phrases, or sentences surrounding a particular word or expression that help readers understand its exact meaning.
Collocation
The natural combination of words that are commonly used together because they sound right to native speakers.
