Excretory systems

Blood carrying wastes like urea, excess salts, and water enters the kidneys through the renal arteries, where the kidneys filter the blood, regulate water and salts, and produce urine. The clean blood leaves the kidneys through the renal veins, while the urine travels down the ureters to the bladder, where it is stored until it is released from the body through the urethra.
