What is random sampling?

Equal chance among participants of being randomly selected .

(e.g picking a name out of a hat or using a random name picker).

What is stratisfied sampling?

Proportional representation of the larger population (same ratio put smaller groups).

What is opportunity sampling?

Sampler picks whoever was available at the time.

What is volunteer sampling?

Participants put themselves forward to take part (e.g a poster).

What is systematic sampling?

Sample is gathered through a structured system (e.g every 4th person in a list of names is selected)
