Mental disorder
Illness of the mind that can affect the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of a person preventing them from leaning a happy, healthy, productive life
Organic mental illness
A Mental illness caused by physical illness or injury that affected the brain
Functional mental illness
Psychological cause, does not involve brain injury can be tied to abuse and or trauma
Anxiety disorder
A condition were real or imagined fears that are difficult to control, and they are Characterized by chronic fear
Phobia
A strong fear of something very specific
Obsessive compulsive disorder
A person trapped in a pattern of repeated thoughts or behaviors that prevent them from living normally
Panic disorder
Can experience sudden unexplained feelings of absolute terror can have panic attacks that mimic heart attacks can occur at any time or place
Post traumatic stress disorder
Made develop weeks or months after event that threatened or caused physical harm symptoms include flashbacks, nightmares, emotional numbness, sleeplessness, or guilt and Dissociation
Mood disorder
Often with organic cause involves mood extremes that interfere with every day life
Clinical depression
Feeling of hopelessness or sadness that lasts more than a few weeks and interferes with every day life Due to chemical, imbalance, hereditary life, events, or drugs that alter your Brain chemistry

Eating disorder
An extreme eating behavior that can cause serious illness, or death symptoms: weight change, heart conditions, kidney failure
Anorexia
A person restricts their food intake due to fear of gaining weight or changing body image to the point of causing harm
Bulimia

Binge eating

Autism spectrum disorder
A new disorder one and 42 boys are diagnosed and one and 109 girls are diagnosed. They stem their socials aren’t great. Eye contact isn’t great they can be nonverbal. Friends are hard, special interests, strict routines some treatment includes behavioral or educational intervention or meds.
