Keynisian Economics
Is the encouragement of government spending to stimulate the economy during a recession
Political Socialization
The influence of political ideologies through familiy, religion, education, andn lived experiences
Supply-Side economics
The belief that limited government regulation/inflation, and low taxes will stimulate the economy
Libratarian
This is an Ideology that believes in limited government regulation in economics and high government involvement in social issues
Liberals
They are heavily associated with the left and beleive that the government should regulate the economy and the social policies that govern people.
Conservative
This is the ideology heavily associated with the right . They believe the government shouldn’t be involved with free enterprise and traditional values should be proritized in social policy.
Generation effects
These are events that break off generations from one and other. This typically leads to them becoming more progressive that the last and it shapes their social policies.
Baby Boomers
1940-60s The generation shaped by the civil rights movement, cold war, and anti-communism sentiment
Silent Generation
Pre- 1945 Shaped by the great depression, WW2, Traditional gender roles, and anti-communism
Gen X
1960s-1980s The generation shaped by widespread internet, higher divorce ratesm ethnic diversity, and
Millenials
1980s-96 This is the generation with more POC and it is by far the most liberal in comparison. The promote social equality, immigration, and socialist policy.
Free Enterprise
Lassieze faire principle with little regulation from the govenrment(capitalism’s origin)
Rule of Law
No one is held above the law, constitution is designed to keep anyone from getting too powerful.
Individualism
Belief that you shape your destiny through your actions
Limited Government
Legally resticitions on the power usage of an entity
Equality of Oppurtunity
Everyone should be treated fairly and have equaly access to oppurtunities
Polls
A method to predict the outcome of the publics opinion of a candidate, policy, or action.
Margin of Error
It is the estimated inefficiency of the polls it can either skew positive or negative.
