The three measures of Variability are
Range, Standard Deviation, and Variance
Standard deviation
Average amount of variability in a set of scores; Also classified as average distance from mean a set of scores are
Variance and Standard deviation relationship
Variance is just essentially standard deviation squared
What happens if the standard deviation is 0?
This would indicate an identical average set of scores, tho extremely rare
If the Standard Deviation is large, what is the correlation with said values?
This would indicate a More spread output of values
The first characteristic of a normal bell curve is?
It represents a Distribution of values, so the mean, mode, and median are equal to one another
The second characteristic of a normal bell curve is?
Perfectly symmetrical about the mean
The third normal characteristic of a bell curve is?
The tails of the curve are asymptotic
Asymptotic
This means that the graph will never touch the axis
