Glabella

the smooth slightly raised bony prominence on the frontal bone located directly between the superciliary arches and above the nasion

Supraorbital notches/foramina

notches set along the medial half of the superior orbital rim; (foramina if the notches are bridged)

Frontal Sinuses

generally anterior to ethmoid notch; extend for a variable distance between outer and inner bone tables of the of the frontal; can penetrate the orbital plates

Zygomatic processes

form the most lateral and anterior corners of the frontal

Temporal Line

on the lateral ectocranial surface mark the attachment of the temporalis muscle; defines the superior edge of the temporal surface (and fossa)

Meningeal grooves (endo)

present on both sides of the concave endocranial surface of the frontal squama;

Sagittal Sulcus (endo)

a vertical groove that runs down the midline of the endocranial surface

Frontal Crest (endo)

a midline crest confluent with the anterior end of the sagittal sulcus

Foramen Cecum (endo)

foramen of varying sizes; found at root of frontal crest and transmits a small vein from the frontal sinus to the superior sagittal sinus
