knot of capillaries within Bowman's capsule.

bowman's capsule

double-walled capsule around the glomerus of nephron. where fluids and soluble materials in the blood are forced out of the capillaries (filtrate)

proximal convoluted tubule

first section of the renal tubule that the blood flows through; reabsorption of water

loop of henle

the part of a kidney tubule that forms a long loop in the medulla of the kidney

distal convoluted tubule

a portion of kidney nephron between the loop of Henle and the collecting duct system.

The portion of the nephron where water reabsorption is regulated via antidiuretic hormone (ADH). It opens into a funnel like space that leads to ureter
