PUA
An acronym for Pickup Artist.
The Field
The real world, used to differentiate between talking online and reality.
Set
An alternate term for an interaction, such as going into a set or having a good set.
AMOG
Alpha Male of the Group; the man who is the leader and is seen as the biggest threat.
Peacocked
To draw attention to oneself through the use of brightly colored or visually interesting objects, like a male peacock does with its tail feathers.
Kino
A term used to describe touching.
Target
The woman who the PUA aims to seduce.
Frame
The strength of a man's mental control, stability, and composure in a situation.
Shit tests
Compliance tests used by women to determine if a man is man enough for them by throwing him off course with abrupt questions or comments.
The T Method
A dynamic process that provides concrete steps for being more confident or interesting, quantifying vague terms into a science.
Inner Game
A person's sense of self and general constitution, which acts as the foundation for seduction.
Outer Game
The tips, tricks, and formulaic methods for seduction that act as training wheels to improve inner game.
The Four Pillars of Seduction
The four essential traits of every successful interaction: counter intuitiveness, playfulness, indifference, and a metaphorical push and pull relationship.
Push / Pull
An attraction theory where the PUA concurrently pushes a woman away through disapproval and pulls her in through acceptance or compliments.
Hot / Cold
A tactic designed to make a target's interest peak by alternating between being intensely interested and being distant.
Social Hook
The point in time where both people are genuinely interested in the conversation and have an urge to continue talking.
False Time Constraint
Telling a group early in an interaction that you cannot stay long to postpone rejection and convey rarity.
Disqualifiers
Playfully giving a woman a reason or positive trait as to why the two of you could never be together to reduce her defenses.
Social Proof
Demonstrating that your world is of a higher value than the target's, such as having a good time with friends or being with female companions.
PBE
Personal Broad Experience; vague, non-specific statements relating to feelings or emotions designed to get a target to contribute to a conversation.
Truism
A comment that appears to be a prediction about a person's personality but is a fact common to everyone.
Dendros Theory
A conversational method based on the Greek word for tree, where the PUA creates branches of discussion from a single topic Loop.
The Cube
A cold reading gambit used to read a target's personality through visualization of objects like a cube, ladder, and horse.
Neg
A negative compliment or backhanded insult used to cut a target's attitude down to size.
The Fantation
Short for Fantasy Exaggeration, it involves taking a trait of an AMOG's personality, exaggerating it, and placing it in a made-up situation to diffuse tension.
Time Bridging
The use of multiple venues and locations in a short period to make a target feel they have known the PUA longer than they actually have.
Reconext
A non-threatening, engaging text message sent to a stale pickup to re-establish contact.
Locus of Control
The degree to which a person believes life outcomes are determined by their own actions (internal) versus external factors.
