Chemistry
The study of the composition, structure, and properties of matter, the processes that matter undergoes, and the energy changes that accompany these processes.
Chemical
Any substance that has a definite Composition.
Compounds
A mix of two elements or more.
Element
Composed by the same atoms, for example: O2.
Chemical Examples
Sucrose, water, and carbon dioxide (CO2).
Basic research
Research carried out for the sake of increasing knowledge.
Applied research
Research generally carried out to solve a problem.
Technological develoment
Typically involves the production and use of products that improve our quality of life.
Biological Sciences
One of the two main branches of sciences identified in the notes.
Physical sciences
