because they had a double standard that they useed as ALLIED ARGUMENT; USED TO JUSTIFY HARSHNESS. GERMANS ACTUALLY FELT THE "WAR GUILT" WAS A STAIN ON THEIR NATIONAL HONOUR AND TOTALLY UNJUSTIFIED

they gave german eu opean borders (which were very extense) to france denmark lituania and poland,

they forbade them to unite with austria,

and their overseas empire was taken away
