what is osmosis
Movement of water from an area of high water, concentration to an area of low water, concentration or the movement of water from an area of lower solute concentration to an area of high solute concentration
What is hypertonic
A solution with a lower solute concentration in another solution this is when water will move out of this more deluded space
What is hypotonic ?
It’s a solution with a higher solute concentration than a solution. This means that the water will move into this more concentrated space.
What is isotonic
It refers to two solutions having the same solid concentration. This means that equal movement into and out of the space resulting and no net charge.
an animal cell what is the hypotonic solution and how does it react?
Lysed
Flow into the cell in a burst
what is the isotonic solution in an animal cell and how do they react?
Normal
That is zero saying water going in and out
How do animals cells react to hypertonic solutions and what is it called?
Crenated
Not flow out of the cell in a shrivels
Hypotonic solution of a plant cell and how does it react?
Turgid
Flow into the cell vacuum fills and put turgor pressure on the cell wall
Isotonic plant cell
Normal me same water going in and out
Hypertonic solution implant cells. How does react
Plasmolyzed
Not flow out the cell and the cell membrane pulls away from the cell wall
