Drawbacks of Earlier Classification
Grouped prokaryotes with eukaryotes (e.g., Blue green Algae with green Algae), unicellular with multicellular organisms (e.g., Chlamydomonas and Chlorella with Spirogyra), and autotrophs with heterotrophs (e.g., Plants with Fungi).
Improvements in R.H. Whittaker's Classification
