what is health and wellbeing ?
The state of a person’s physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual existence characterised by an equilibrium in which the individual feels happy, healthy, capable and engaged.

what is FRIES ?
F - freely given
R - reversible
I - informed
E - enthusiastic
S - specific
what is consent ?
freely given – not forced or pressured.
reversible – someone can change their mind at any time.
informed – the person understands what they are agreeing to.
enthusiastic – the person should genuinely want to say yes.
specific – consent to one thing doesn't mean consent to everything.
Consent is about respecting boundaries and making sure everyone involved feels safe and comfortable.
what are elements of a healthy relationship ?
consent – saying yes to any sexual activity/touch without being pressured or forced
respect – understanding another person’s limits, boundaries, needs and wants. everyone deserves respect
mutuality – the relationship is meant to be good for both partners. Sexual activity should be pressure and guilt free, enjoyable and safe for those who choose it
communication – both partners should feel free to express their opinions and feelings, even if others disagree
what are three unethical sexual behaviour(s) ?
coercion – being talked into doing something sexual. It is consistent and ongoing and can make a person feel uncomfortable
pressure – feeling as though you’re not able to say no, or, not being given the genuine opportunity to say no
force – physical force is used to make you do something sexual against your wishes
what is three illegal sexual behaviour ?
sexual assault – when someone behaves towards you in a sexual way that makes you feel uncomfortable, frightened or intimidated
sexual harassment – other unwelcome behaviour, such as jokes, pressuring for sex, pornographic images on display, invading space continually
rape – sexual penetration without consent
what are the laws around consent ?
Consent means saying yes clearly and freely to sexual activity:
-- it must not be forced or pressured.
The legal age of consent is 16 years old.
– if the other person is in a position of power (like a teacher or coach), the legal age is 18.
– a person under 12 can never give consent.
Consent must be ongoing.
– you can change your mind and say no at any time, even if you said yes before.
Consent is not valid if:
– the person is asleep or unconscious
– the person is very drunk or on drugs
– the person is threatened, forced, or tricked
– the other person is in a position of authority (like a teacher)
Affirmative consent is the law:
– this means both people must actively agree to what’s happening – silence is not consent.
what is multi-stage fitness test ?

Description of the test:
cones are positioned 20m apart.
on the beep, participants must run to the next cone and arrive before the next beep
failure to make two ‘beeps’ In a row results in the test being over. participants will record their level, for example Level 5.2
participants continue running, as the levels get progressively faster.
what is the illinois agility test ?

Description of the test:
cones are set up within a 5x10m grid, creating three columns and a slalom in the middle column.
to start the test, participants are required to lie flat on the ground face down.
on the start whistle, participants are required to run around the cones in the set sequence.
once the participants runs past the ‘finish’ cone, the stopwatch time is recorded.
what is the shoulder and wrist elevation test ?

Description of the test:
participant lies on the floor with their arms full extended overhead.
grasp a ruler/pole with their hands shoulder width apart.
the participant raises the ruler/pole as high as they can, ensuring they keep their chin in contact with the ground throughout the test.
the participants partner uses a measuring stick to obtain the scored height.
what is the phosphate recovery test ?

Description of the test:
set up the cones in the correct structure, please see the following diagram. Number cones 1-10 every 2 metres from the centre line
participants work in pairs, one recording and one performing.
the participant performs the following set: 8 x 7 second sprints, departing every 30 seconds.
each sprint is at maximal effort.
the recorder notes down the number of cones ran past, from the centre line onwards.
