Matter
Anything that has mass, takes up space, and can be perceived through our senses is called mass.
Solid
Has fixed volume and shape, strong forces of attraction, does not flow, incompressible, expands when heated, doesn’t diffuse.
Liquid
No fixed shape but fixed volume, can flow, weak forces of attraction, slightly compressible, thermal expansion higher than solids, some diffuse.
Gas
No fixed volume or shape, negligible or no force of attraction, highly compressible, thermal expansion higher than both liquid and solid, diffuse spontaneously.
Plasma
Hot ionised gas, +charge = -charge, unstable gas molecules
Bose-Einstein condensate
