What is public health ?
What we as a society do collectively to assure the conditions in which people can be healthy. (Institute of Medicine, 1988).
What is community health ?
The meeting of collective needs by identifying problems and managing behaviours within the community itself and between the community and the larger society .
What is public health nursing ?
Population - focused nursing practice and public health practice that emphasizes the prevention of disease and disability.
What is community health nursing ?
A synthesis of nursing practice and public health practice applied to promoting and preserving the health of populations .
What does global health focus on ? which level of cooperation is used ?
Focuses on issues that directly and indirectly affect health but that can transcend national boundaries
