Where does Reducción come from

comes from the Spanish word reducir, meaning "to reduce" or "to bring together" or "to gather into one place."

What does Reducción mean

a colonial policy that forced or encouraged Filipinos living in scattered villages (barangays) to relocate into newly established towns called pueblos.
