Plain Weave
A basic weave in which each filling strand goes over and under each warp strand once.
warp

weft knit
A knit made with only one yarn. Has two way stretch in lengthwise and crosswise directions. Can get lengthwise "runs" from broken threads. Made on either flat or circular knitting machines
satin weave
A weave that produces a smooth, shiny-surfaced fabric resulting from passing the weft yarn over and under numerous warp yarns to create long floats.
jacquard weave
refers to large-figured designs that require more than 25 different arrangements of the warp yarns to complete one repeat organic design
pile knit
a type of weft knit in which deep-pile fabrics or simulated fur pile fabrics are made on a jersey knit machine by the addition of a special attachment
